Overcoming extreme endo-restorative isolation challenges using off-label methods and materials
The heavy marketing and ever-increasing popularity of dental implants challenges the rationale for complex endodontic procedures.
Without creative and time-tested methods for managing difficult endodontic cases, this challenge would go unanswered. The inability to isolate is frequently cited as the reason for removing teeth that might otherwise be treatable. Using high-magnification clinical videos, the webinar will present a variety of off-label methods using common dental devices, materials and instruments in uncommon ways to isolate teeth under the most challenging of circumstances. This will help to achieve superior endodontic results, while allowing patients to retain their natural dentition. We’re endodontists and endo-savvy dentists; we still save teeth….

C. John Munce D.D.S.
Dr. Munce is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Professor of Graduate Endodontics at both Loma Linda University and the University of Southern California. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and past President of the California State Association of Endodontists. Dr. Munce received both his training in Endodontics and his dental degree from Loma Linda University. He is a frequent international lecturer and the primary author of the chapter, Preparation for Endodontic Treatment, in the celebratory 50th anniversary 7th edition of Ingle’s Endodontics. Clinical concepts and techniques originated by Dr. Munce have been published in a number of primary endodontic textbooks, most recently in the 6th edition of Ingle’s Endodontics and the 10th edition of Pathways of the Pulp, and he co-authored a chapter on MTA repair of post perforations in Dr. Nadim Baba’s prosthodontics textbook, Contemporary Restoration of Endodontically Treated Teeth. Dr. Munce is also founder and CEO of a clinical endodontics products company, CJM Engineering, Inc.
